Help! Strange Z1 timecode problem
Hi everyone! I'm new to this particular forum but it looks like there's a whole lot of discussion going on :)
So I'm doing a shoot with a Z1. Everything's going fine. Actors come back from a break and I turn the camera back on, and the timecode is at 00 00 00 00 (note lack of colons). When I record, the timecode display stays like that even though the camera is in fact recording normally. I didn't change ANY settings -- until this point everything was fine. I went through the menus and verified everything was normal. I checked the tape and it recorded the footage normally, albeit without timecode. What does this mean? How can I fix it? Thanks so much for your help! -------------------- :: Ted Hayes :: Limina.Studio :: |

I don't ever use those features, but I bet (somehow) you changed one of those timecode options in the menu - see p76 in your manual. Or maybe accidently pushed the TC button (see manaul p 101-103). I did this accidently myself once and it had me really confused also!
