Televisions news format standards at DVinfo.net

I've been out of the broadcast loop for too long, unfortunately. I was wondering what HD acquisition formats television news operations were standardizing on these days. While several of my local affiliates shoot the studio stuff in HD, they're using some kind of SD still for ENG.

I would assume that where they are shooting HD in the field, they're doing DVCPRO HD, if for no other reason than I've seen a lot of DVCPRO and DVCPRO 50 out there.

And if they are using it, are they shooting 720p? My local affiliates are all broadcasting 720p except the NBC shop, which is 1080i.
