when I need to shoot in 60i how's the image?

Deciding between the Z1 and the 170 - some of my work is as 2nd cam for people shooting in 60i, usually the 170. I need to hand them the footage on the dv tape at the end of the shoot, so bringing it back to my edit suite to downconvert and make a 60i dv tape for them will probably not be very practical. If I get the Z1, I'd like to know how it performs in 60i - how's the low light performance in that mode?
