Advice for Buying my First HD TV for Home

Hi all,

Can anyone give me any general advice in regards to specs & features to look for in buying a HD TV?

I'm pretty sure i'd like a CRT as they're much cheaper, have great picture quality & space isn't really any issue at home.

This is a model i've been looking at:
http://www.panasonic.com.au/products...productID=1932
Its a Panasonic 76cm, 100Hz, 1080i HDTV, also meant to have progressive scan.

Also when a TV claims to display 1080i, what happens when you input a 1080p signal into from the HVX200? Whats the difference between a progressive & interlaced TV?

Thank You...
