I wish I could afford a HD100, but short of that I am costantly amazed at the film look my HD10 affords. No 24p but the 30p provides for everything short of a film-out. The 60p mode allows for some nice slo-mo. Be warned though these aren't point and shoot cams. You need to be knowledgeable in filters, lighting and progressive shooting to get the most.
Here are a few current links over on the HD10 forum. Two are tests for mini 35mm adaptors. http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?t=59982 http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?t=57288 and one link to a well done short http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?t=59925
