WiFi Overlay - Possible?

Hello,

I am looking at the upcoming XA20 camera from Canon but my question applies to all video cameras. I notice WiFi is becoming standard issue on newer cameras coming out. Does anybody know if it is possible to import an overlay via the WiFi connection to show up on the finished recording?

My use would be for filming live sports. If one had a scoring app on a tablet, it would be great if you could input the score live and it could show in your recording. The app could be designed in a many ways but is the WiFi connection in video cameras made to handle this?

If it isn't then why not! :)

Thanks for your input.
