American Chopper - which camera(s)?
Says at the end of the American Chopper episode that it is available on Hi-Def, so does anybody know which Hi-Def camera they use?
I heard rumour it might be a JVC model, but was wondering if anyone knows for sure. Also i heard they use PD170's for the non-HD stuff. just curious that's all. thanks in advance. |

What I saw of it in HD (which was in a store, so this could be due to set up of the displays) looked liked uprezzed SD... I have seen the 170's get caught on camera a time or two... But I have no idea what HD camera they use...

I'm sure the store you were in just didn't have HD setup properly (no real shock; I've yet to see real HD in a big box electronics store with my own eyes).
I watch American Chopper in HD, and believe me it's not "uprezzed SD" (except maybe some B-roll secondary shots here and there). It's shot with a Panasonic AJ-HDC27F (DVCPRO HD) in 1080i. http://www.tvtechnology.com/features...ter_cars.shtml |
