Conform button grayed out in CinemaTools
I'm trying to use CinemaTools to conform a 720p60 clip to 30p but when I open the clip, my "conform" button is grayed out. I am unable to conform the clip Am i missing something?
The clip which I'm trying to conform was transcoded using Mpeg streamclip using the apple xdcam ex 720p60 35mbps codec with quality at 100%. I AM able to open the original .MOV file straight out of the 7D and conform that. What about the transcoded clip makes it unable to be conformed? Any ideas? Someone else suggested that it must transcode to ProRes not XDCAM. Is it okay to Conform the clip first THEN transcode to XDCAM? Thanks, Ron ------ |

Yes, convert to ProRes, then take it back into CinemaTools.

Re: Conform button grayed out in CinemaTools
you cannot use CT to conform any long-GOP format (like XDCam). That's in the CT documentation, which is a .pdf in CT's help menu.
