No 1080 24p and only mpeg2 audio for HD?

It's an ENG camera, but I thought it was originally going to have 24p capabilities...

It does not have 1080p, is only 25 Mbps. JVC said originally it will be out in 2004; same goes for HD100 which was supposed be out before this camera. Now they say April 2006 for the 2/3". Why is taking this long? I wonder how will Sony's competing product look like? I bet it will be Blu-Ray.
