Sanyo Camera Slight Here At DVInfo?
Reading this forum to absorb as much as I can. I thought the specs on the new Sanyo HD2000 camera sounded quite good. It is hard to find information about this camera here, as any talk of their Xacti line gets redirected to "HD Mom" instead of getting their own forum section here.
This seems like quite a slap in the face to this camera line. Why no forum section as is the case with Sony, Canon, or Panasonic, etc?

There used to be a Sanyo section on this, site, then I believe that Chris created HD MOM and put the Sanyos and several other camcorders there. There was some logic to that, but the problem is, that site is not very active. The last post in the forum was almost a month ago. I would like it if Chris would consider bringing those posts and camcorders back into some category here. Every camcorder, no matter how expensive, is limited in some way, and may not be the right tool for the the job. The FH1 and the 2000 have limitations, on the other hand they have large sensors, 1080 60p, decent battery life, and manual controls, among other things. Some pros might find them useful for certain situations as just one tool in the arsenal.

I have both the FH1 and the HD2000, along with an HMC150. I used to have Sony A1U and HC1. The Sanyo's are amazing camera's, offer full manual control, very good optics and the HD2000 has a mic input. I love them and they serve as excellent B-cams to my HMC150. They're also a bargain.
These are camera's with pro features and I'd love to see a forum here for them. |
