So, going back to the subject matter that motivated me to start this thread: how this, if true, will help my inexpensive deck in this whole 24p new scheme? Any idea, any thoughts, any crazy way to make it happen?

Our friend Barry Green found out that he was able to capture 720 24P footage from the HD-1 into Vegas 5, not even 6...!!! So, I am almost certain that, as I mentioned before, a simple firmware is all what is needed to update the CU-VH1.

I really would like to hear from JVC their "corporate" position on this. Chris, can you make it happen (get their opinion)?

Thanks,

Luis
