Boosting headphone volume level on hdr-fx1?
While producing in the street-- I can't seem to hear my mic very well in my headphones... The levels are good
How do I pump up the volume out to Headphone? Duh? |

If you have adjust volume to the max on the tape transport panel already and it is not enough, you might want to try a more efficient headphone.

Yep. Check for impedance mismatch, more efficient headphones (like Sony MDR7506's) will be a lot louder.
An alternative, cheaper solution is to use a headphone amplifier like the Boostaroo. |

Brent,
Check a few different head phone or try your phones in another camera. On one of my FX1s the headphone audio level dropped a lot one day and has not returned. I need to take it to Sony and have them fix it. I have tried a couple different Sony 7506 headphones all with the same result. In one camera it is very loud and in the other very quiet.
