1080i watched on 1080p HDTV
How would a 1080i clip look watched on a 1080 progressive system (full 1920 x 1080 res), such as the imminent Samsung models mentioned in this release:
http://www.hwhpr.com/prclients/samsung/ces05/DLPCES05_PR.html (scroll down a teensy) Would the content look as crisp, softer? Funky? I don't know if I'm up in the night about it or if there's something to my curiosity. Thanks lots. |

I would seriously doubt it would look funky or soft. It might not be as blindingly clear as 1080p, but it would still look great.
Compared to 1080p it might look a little soft - but 1080i is still going to be as good as or better than anything else.

i saw it on professional sony 24" hdtv monitor
(BVM-D24E1WE) and it looked astonishing! i didn't have the possibility to swich it with regular HD source, like from f900 or f750p cameras - but i will test it first second when it will be possible. filip
