Chris, does anyone have a review of his book? I'd like to buy it, but the chapters listing he has doesn't shed much light on content. It looks like I might know most of it.
Anyone have it and can give a little review??

need answers on cineframe shooting/editing for this to be any good...
I noticed this book when it came out and was curious - I still am and no doubt would consider getting it - I think DSE had a bit of access to pre-production Z1's and I think the fact that the book became avail. so quickly around FX1 release hinted a bit that Z1 wasn't going to be a big departure...
For this book to be a "must-have" however there must be a section in it along the lines of "getting that 24p/film look from your HDV" along with some recipe, step-by-step instructions along the lines that DSE has done for some of his previous books highlighting Vegas Video... The website is sparse a bit on detail - certainly if more light could be shed on this, that would be great... Do we have a "Book Club" here like Oprah? Price discounts for dvinfo members on "sponsored" books? |

<< For this book to be a "must-have" however there must be a section in it along the lines of "getting that 24p/film look from your HDV" >> Well, from a filmmaker's perspective it is, but that doesn't necessarily hold true for everybody else who's using this camera. That's never been a primary concern of mine, not to take away from anybody who prefers 24p, but not everybody is into that. |
