Mac & PC Hard Drive Workflow

Is this the best solution?

I bought a Mac for FCP, and still have a full PC system utilizing two WD external HDs: a 320 and 700 something. I film weddings. I want to utilize my PC for capturing while I edit on the Mac. Since I cannot access the externals on both comps at once, I plan to do this:

Edit A on Mac w/ 700 drive, while Capturing B on PC w/ 320 drive

When finished, manually switch drive firewires, then:
Edit B on Mac w/ 320 drive, while Capturing C on PC w/ 700 drive

When finished, manually switch drive firewires, then:
Edit C on Mac w/ 700 drive, while Capturing D on PC w/ 320 drive

In the meantime I keep all music on the internal Mac drive and the scratch disks on their respective externals.

Bonus question: With a growing minidv archive, should I delete the scratch files after client delivery?
