Can I ?
I have a client who went out and shot on my JVC 101E a project in 720P 25, he since worked out he can't ingest the footage how he thought he would so it's ended up on my shoulders to sort out the best way to deliver the footage to him,we are running through all possibles and one that occurred to me was to buy a HD-100 drive and record footage he has on tape(s) to that in his desired format and deliver the drive to him to edit from (in the end it's going to be a DV project but I want to deliver 720P so he can down convert after the edit)
Reason this route is an idea is further work from him would be shot direct to the firestore as well as tape to make it easy for him to work. Question is does the HD-100 happily record from tape ? And if anyone uses FCP then does it accept 720 25 now ? The other question is does or will one day the HD-100 record 720 50 from the 200 series camera's ? |
