6-pin to 6-pin splitter?
I, like many others I am sure, would love the ability to use my firestore with HDV Rack simultaneously.. or maybe I stand alone.. either way, a 6>6 splitter that could send a signal to both devices would prove useful.
Now, anyone developed anything like this? |

I would think you should be able to use a firewire hub.

Does a hub not send multiple signals (camera, drive, etc..) down a single pipe (computer)?
I am looking to send a signal from the JVC GY-HD200 to a laptop (with HDV Rack) and the Firestore (FS4ProHD) drive so that I may monitor HD and simultaneously record to the drive. And I do not want to attach the FS4Pro to the laptop so that HDV rack can record to the FS4. |

I had success using a FW repeater / HUB to record from my XL-1 to a DVD recorder and the FS-4 simultaneously.
Make sure that the HUB is not connected to an external power supply however. A powered repeater / HUB with power may cause damage to the FS-4. |
