Organizing Clips on standard FS-4 HD
Hi there, I am learning to use my new FS-4 HD (black body), and noticed when I connect to my Mac, there are 10 numbered folders, and then the dated folder with the actual clips.
I read in the manual that only the pro version allows you to "organize clips". Why all the empty folders? Can they be used for anything? Thanks! |

Format the drive. It is possible that this unit was set incorrectly at the factory. Do the 10 folders still appear?

I can cut and paste files from one folder to another using Windows XP. Until I read this thread, I thought it was normal for these folders to be there. Manufacturing glitch? I just bought a second FS-4 HD from VideoGuys and expect to get it very soon. I will check and see if there are multiple folders on it as well. In spite of the HDV problems, I still can't stand tape. So I will work with SD until the HDV problems are solved. Soon camera 2 will also be tapeless. Danny Fye www.dannyfye.com www.vidmus.com/scolvs |

If these folders are not supposed to be there then it makes me wonder. Danny Fye www.dannyfye.com www.vidmus.com/scolvs |

Hi,
It appears that the folders were accidentally included in the version 1.1 firmware. It will not hurt anything and we will have a free update soon. Thanks, Matt |
