Size of file
I just did a test recording w/ the DR-HD100 and I noticed that a 30 second clip (720p 30) was 106 MB (QT), whereas a 30 second clip recorded w/ the HD100 to tape and digitized was 70MB. Just curious - why the larger clip size?
Thanks. |

The larger clip size for QuickTime HDV is based on the fact that the audio has been uncompressed within the QuickTime file itself.

I'm having dual conversations with you on two different issues simultaneously. I love technology!
Thanks - that clears it up. |
