Does FS-4HD work with JVC HD1?

Can anyone confirm this combo works in 720 HDV mode (m2t capture of course) with triggering from camera's "rec" button?
Or do I need to use "local" control for captures?

Thanks guys.

I haven't used the HD1 in quite a while, but it should work as long as there is a tape in the camera and the FS-4Pro HD is set to Syncro Slave mode. If I remember correctly, that camera is only capable of 720p30.

Matt- not the "pro" model- just the regular FS-4 HD-----can this combo work and will I need to have tape running- I'd prefer totally tapeless.
Thanks Matt.

Yes, the FS-4 HD will work for m2t recording as well. But as I mentioned, I have not used the HD1 in a while. You do not need a tape in the camera if you are OK with triggering record on the FS itself in Local control mode. But, you cannot trigger from the camera without a tape inserted.
