Lo Res Firestore Record?
Hello all,
We've got a project coming up shooting lots of video for web distribution. We have to shoot / edit / upload overnight, so we want to do things quickly. We're shooting with DVX100s. Our editors are all off-site FCP systems and we want to FTP them the 10-12 minutes of footage they'll need to make their edits as quickly as possible. The output resolution will be a 320x240 .wmv file crushed to about 384kbps. Is it possible to record a low-res (320x240) QT with a Firestore? This way, we could upload our clips right to the FTP site with no conversion time, and the only recompression would be the .wmv outputs. We'd use the tapes as full-res DV masters for future projects. Ideas? Thanks, Kevin |

The DV output from the camera is 720x480. That's what the Firestore records.
