Extended Battery - Probably have to send it back(?)
I received two of the extended/180 minute batteries today.
I heard they were larger, but I didn't know that it would impact the ability to mount the unit when you use it. I have two of the Focus field kits (with the plastic cradle & ball mount), and another 2nd party metal cradle that fits on the back of one of my Anton plates. They work great for the standard batts, but I can not slide the unit in any of these when you are trying to use the extended batt. So... what to do? How were you planning on having people use this battery? I suppose the only option is the belt clip? For the price and loss of functionality, I'll probably just send them back. Would like to know about any solutions I may be overlooking. Thanks, Shawn |

Hi Shawn,
There is a new cradle available that fits the high capacity cradle. It is $39. Hope that helps, Matt |

Matt,
Thanks - that'd be great. Do you have a link to where I can examine this and/or buy 2 or 3 of them? Can I assume they're like the plastic ones that come with the FS4 field kit? Those work well, although I have to superglue the stud in the back every couple of months - it has a tendency to want to tear out. Thanks, Shawn |

Scroll down to FireStore FS-4 High Capacity Cradle (Cradle Only) - ASYF-1043-01. There is no pic, but it basically looks the same as the standard cradle. Matt |
