DR-DV5000 HD suggestions at DVinfo.net

I'm looking for a external drive to connect to my DR-DV5000 via 1394. Is there a suggested / required type of external HD that can be used?

Focus recommends the FS-HDD1 drive as an external drive for DR-DV5000.

If you wish to use an external drive from another manufacturer, we would currently recommend Weibetech drives. On the FAQ site for the FS-1, we list some models that may work for you. I would recommend you contact our support group and they can give you more information. Contact support@focusinfo.com.
