Problems with firestore not recording
I recently got my FS-4 and had tested it for a while and had used it in some smaller shoots
on sunday we had a larger shoot (a skating competition) and it happened twice that the firestore stopped recording the firestore is set for retro cache and normally records fine when you hit record on the camera but twice it went into some mode where it didnt see the camera anymore. I had this happen once during testing when i turned the camera on and then the firestore but that was not the case as the camera was always on on sunday any suggestions what that could be and if this happens is there any other way then to turn the camera off/on to get the FS-4 to respond properly again thanks

What camera are you using? Is it possible that the FireWire cable became loose on the camera? When you say it didn't go into record, did the display on the FS-4 change at all? (e.g. did you see the record status change to REC-PSE or REC or did it just stay at STOP or PAUSE). What modes are your FS-4 in?
Thanks, Matt |

Matt
it was an XL2 i set it up in the morning for retro cache and it was recording for a while later the guy called me and said it stopped recording on the FS-4. i went there and the FS-4 was on 00:00:00. I had to turn the XL-2 off and on to get it to work again. Just hitting record on the XL-2 didnt do the trick i am sure it had nothing to do with the cables they where all nicely plugged in Everything was running on main power as well so no battery issues it happened 2 or 3 times during that day thanks
