Apple has only just announced support for HDV 720p/24 in FCP at IBC (with version 5.1.2). http://www.digitmag.co.uk/news/index.cfm?NewsID=6118
It is not yet shipping, but we hope to add support for QuickTime with 720p/24 as soon as possible. It is difficult for us to develop when the product we are planning on supporting is not yet shipping! The QuickTime update for DR-HD100 with 720p/30 support is now shipping. Thanks for your patience.
