NEW FIX FOR QT FILES from Focus/Vitec
Like many others, the recent upgrade to Quicktime 10.1 now prevents .mov clips recorded with the FS-H200 (or any other Focus Family Product) from importing into Final Cut Pro.
After contacting Focus, they provided me with a free app to download that corrects this issue. The app is called HD FILE CONVERTER and works great. Just drag your clips (even if you have 50 or 100 clips, it doesn't matter) to the app and in less time than it takes to snap your fingers, the clips will be corrected and ready to import into Final Cut Pro. DTE is now working again...with one little extra step. This has returned my workflow to working order. No need for .M2T or QT Downgrade or Pacifist. If you are having similar issues, contact Focus/Vitec and ask for the HD FILE CONVERTER app. |
