Neophyte at DVinfo.net

Hello all,

am brand new to DV community. Most of my previous work has been film. I am in the process of purchasing XL2, FS4 Pro 80 GB, G5 w/FCP 5 Suite and whatever else I can beg, borrow or steal.

I have been reading many threads here (THANK YOU ALL) and I am concerned about spending all this $$$$$$$ when I am seeing many problems which concern me. I am so grateful there is such a forum as this and I am just looking for some overall recommendations as to how to go about this purchase without reinventing the wheel.

Just one example: B & H Photo/Video has a DVD - "The ultimate guide to the XL2" is this really the ultimate guide??

ANY AND ALL input is welcome and greatly appreciated!!!

This "ultimate guide" should be called a "brief overview of the features." You can get most of the info here, the manual, or by looking at the camera for 5 minutes. Seriously, it's not worth money, in my opinion.
