Keeping MR-HD100 in non-drop frame mode

First off, while some of my earlier posts expressed a profound dissatisfaction with my drive, Focus Enhancements tech support stepped up to the plate and replaced the drive in my unit, and now it works like a charm. They were helpful, polite and professional, and the turnaround time was most satisfactory.
However, I can't seem to get my MR-HD100 to enter non-drop frame mode. I set it thus in the settings menu but it reverts to drop frame when I exit the menu.
Ditto with the UDF FS PERM...I can't get it to stick in read-write...it defaults back to read-only.
Any thoughts?
