From memory ( incipeint Alzheimers is probably at play here ), there are options in the DR-100 menu for recording other than slaving to the JVC but I don't know if these were options for other camera types of the Sony flavour of HDV which is different to the JVC.
If the DR-100 will take Sony HDV, it might have to be manually triggered to record and might not slave to the FX1. I gave away my printed manual when the unit was sold so I cannot refer back to it. The Focus Enhancements threads furthur down the page may have something on the subject. FOOTNOTE: Gan. With a vague memory prompting me I had a little bit of a search and read and found this quote on this thread :- http://www.dvinfo.net/forum/focus-en...us-topics.html START OF QUOTE ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- No, it will work fine with the FX-1. You must have a tape in the transport if you wish to trigger the DR-HD100 from the camera. Also, use the Syncro Slave control mode. Hope that helps, Matt --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- END OF QUOTE. Also furthur pages along there is some discussion on mounting the unit to the JVC. Last edited by Bob Hart; September 14th, 2010 at 10:38 PM. Reason: added text |
