FS-H200- Audio Hiss on Files
I am recording footage from my Canon GL1 on to an FS-H200. The record format is DV and the DTE format is AVI Type 2.
When I play recorded footage in Adobe Premiere (CS2), or even Windows Media Player, the audio is a loud hiss/static. When I play footage back in to the camera through Firewire, it sounds great. I tried changing the format to AVI Type 1 but now there is no audio at all. Do I have a setting wrong on my recording format? Thanks, Zach |

I think I figured it out. I tried recording from a Sony camera and it worked fine. So I checked the audio settings on the GL1 and it was set to 12-bit. I changed it to 16-bit and it is playing back fine on my computer.
