Will FS-4 batteries/external charger work with FS-CV?
Anyone know whether the FS-4's extra capacity battery and external charger will work with the FS-CV, please?
Also, does the extra capacity battery alter the form factor so that the FS-CV will no longer fit on the pan-handle cradle? Thanks in advance Andy

I spoke with Mike Warner at Focus Enhancements and he said that the FS-CV is actually a variant of the FS-5 (with the important difference that the Version 2.0 firmware for the FS-5 will not work on the FS-CV--that will come soon or "real soon now" as we say in the computer business.)
What flows from this is that you're SOL if you want to purchase extended life batteries or an external charger for the FS-CV. Mike also indicated that it takes about three hours to charge up an FS-CV's battery from completely discharged. So if you ever need to shoot seven hours of video during a day, you'll need two perhaps three batteries. And that translates into six to nine hours of recharging time. The other alternative is the belt pack for the FS-CV that provides DC power.
