behave as a camcorder
On page 53 of the fs-4 manual we find "Use AV/C in playback mode...In these cases, the FS-4 can be used to capture footage to the NLE with the same behavior as a camcorder." Sounds good, but XP is wanting a driver whenever I hook it up this way. (using camera port on fs-4 to computer and av/c.) Is there a driver or is it operator error?
Thanks, John |

I've moved your thread from the general D2D forum to the forum
specially dedicated to the FS D2D devices. Which Windows XP Service Pack do you have installed? I'm also wondering why you would want to use such a feature. It's far easier and faster to simply copy the files of the device to your work harddisk and get going!

thanks
Thanks for the reply. My rationale was to avoid indescriminate downloading of clips...I would use the capture module to screen what I would capture...but I see your point. It is mch faster to simply transfer the files.
This is a great forum!! John |
