gpi control
I have the fs-3 and an fs-4 on order. Is it possible to interface either of these with a leightronix tcd 100 using the firestore GPI control?
The tcd100 is an event controller that typically interfaces with tape machines by hard wire or infrared remote; it also has contact closures that may or may not be compatible with the gpi of the firestore. The contact closure has no voltage it has two states either open or closed and is designed to work with relay switches. The goal is to transfer an edited file to the firestore and the program the leightronix contact closure to schedule an automated playback of the avi file. Any ideas? |

Hi George,
The GPI control on all the FireStore products is a simple contact closure or can be set for RS-232C control from a terminal. When set for contact closure, it is possible to pause/un-pause a recording or playback, grab a single frame or create a new file without losing any frames during a recording. We have not tested with the Leightronix, but if it is just a simple contact closure trigger, it should be no problem. Hope that helps, Matt |
