Hi Phil,
Both modes of operation are possible. In SYNCRO/SLAVE mode the tape and FS-4 are controlled by the camera's start/stop button- thus synchronized. Or you can shoot with the FS-4 in LOCAL mode, which means the FS-4 runs independently from the camera's tape system. That means that you will have to push start/stop on the camera to start recording and then the record key on the FS-4 to start recording. The FS-4 will most likely be able to read the time-code being written to tape by the camera regardless of wether the FS-4 is in SYNC/SLAVE mode or LOCAL mode. Making it easy to match taped material with captured material in both modes. In other words, this shouldn't be a problem for you. |
