SSD Drive in a Firestore?
Aloha friends,
I have an older FS-C for my Canon XL-H1, and am concerned about potential hard drive (failure) issues. I am intrigued with the possibility of replacing the 100GB hard drive with a Solid State Drive (SSD). I have yet to open the case of my FS, but, considering its age, I guess that it has an IDE drive installed, not SATA. In any event, has anyone out there tried replacing their hard drive with an SSD drive? Thanks! Jeff |

i did but it not going to work because it does runing IDE and most SSD are Sata even if you buy an adapter from IDE to SATA the adapter make it stick out longer so you won't be abble to close the case. Hope that help for you

you can find IDE SSD , Transcend is making some for example and they are among the cheapest (and the slowest).
Pretty sure you can find other brands too |
