Focus FS-5 60GB Under $1000 While Supplies Last
The folks over at Focus have authorized a limited time, limited quantity promotion on the FS-5 60GB model. The new sale price is $999!!! This is for our existing inventory only.
My guess is that they either can't get the 60GB drives anymore or they just want to test the market and see what kind of sales are possible at under $1,000! Either way, this is one heck of a good deal. For more info Videoguys Focus FS-5 In Stock $2,195! - The New Class of DTE Recording Firestore FS5 Gary

I wish you guys could carry the Canon model (FS-CV). I would be all over that offer!

And we would love to sell it. But you have to understand, Focus uses their OEM relationships and sales to cover their engineering costs and allow us to keep getting new innovative products.
As long as the folks a Canon are promoting the technology and pushing through sales, they are going to be the only ones you can buy it from. If we ever do get the chance, I'll post it here. Gary

While we've had so-so luck with the two FS-4s we use at work, I couldn't resist getting the FS-5 at $1,000. Thanks for publicizing it. It's scheduled to be delivered tomorrow! My biggest gripe about the FS-4 - other than its periodic failures - was that it made my camera setup too heavy for me to hold for extended periods. This smaller and lighter FS-5 looks like it will fit the bill for me. I hope so, because I have a demolition derby to videotape at the county fair this weekend. |
