FS-4ProHD vs FS-C ?
I just got an XH-A1 and I want to get a drive for it. Focus vaguely told me that only FS-Cs were designed for Canons. But I also use a JVC camera too.
Does anyone know if the FS-4ProHD will work for any camera? Or if the FS-C will also work with other brands besides Canon? |

Before Focus Enhancements came out with the FS-C, the FS-4 Pro HD was the model that they recommended and supplied for use with the Canon XL H1.
I have one of each that I use with my XL H1. For certain JVC camera models, one may need a different unit or different firmware. JVC's HDV is different than Canon's. For JVC HD100u and HD110u cameras, one ususally uses a different version of the firestore. I hope others will give you more definitive answers.

Can the FS4-HD be controlled by the Canon cameras (when they're set to external DV control) ??
The FS-C can be controlled with the camera's pause button. JR |

In the menu, make sure you have "External DV control" enabled.
