HDV recording DV transfers
G'day Guys,
Sorry but I have accidently posted this question in the wrong thread before! http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?t=72841 My question is If I record in HDV on a FS4 pro HD, with a Sony Z1 can I transfer directly off the unit to Avid Liquid in Pinnacle AVI. So I can preserve the correct timecode the same as the tape? Thanks |

The Firestore will only record HDV as M2T or (with the right upgrades) Quicktime MOV. So, you won't get an AVI directly.
I think Liquid will take an M2T and demux it though? Timecode should be in there, though I don't know whether Liquid will preserve it. |
