That is pretty cool, Paul. I wonder if a special permit would be needed for it since you could catch over head wires if you were not careful. But they put up satellite link towers all the time.

I was thinking a transformer could be installed in the drone to allow in-flight recharging via power lines. :-)

It works for trolley's!

That is very smart thinking! We have trolley lines set up, so you would not need a new raceway. If the drone falls out of the sky it would land on the trolley or trackway. Pretty good thinking, Paul!

I recall a specialist UK company offering a telescopic remotely controlled camera mount a number of years ago. I didn't have any dealings with them, but I know someone who was considering acting as an agent for them..
