Best GoPro settings for aerial video at DVinfo.net

There has been a bit of discussion in various threads recently about the best GoPro settings to use for aerial video. I was hoping we could collaborate the information and come to some sort of conclusion about what settings actually produce the best image quality.

Personally I use 1920x1440 50p, but after seeing John's footage in another thread (1080p25, medium FOV), I was stunned at how much better it looks than anything I've ever shot on my GoPro.

So, what resolution and frame rate do you prefer? And what field of view setting seems to work best?
