I think that "drone" is a sensational and silly word to apply to small RC craft, even if they do carry some semi-autonomous programming. I move to change the common parlance from "drone" back to "remote-controlled," in order to separate this:

Unfortunately the size range for unmanned aerial vehicles covers everything from the very small to the something the size of a jet fighter. The only thing that seems to differentiate between a model aircraft and what is termed an unmanned aerial vehicle is the purpose.
