Which monitor for FPV or live feed?
Which video monitors are you using while flying with your camera?
Whether FPV or just remote viewing, I'm looking for a fairly clear, reasonably-priced (LCD?) monitor for use near the controls. Needing someone to see what the camera sees, real-time. I've seen some from sub-$100 to several hundred. Thanks. |

Re: Which monitor for FPV or live feed?
Hi Mark,
I use an old Ikan with a immersion rc receiver for general monitoring, my camera op uses fatshark googles - this is especially important in bright sunlight. I wouldn't recommend googles as one man op as you really can't see what is going on around you. The monitor generally needs to have a composite video input unless you are using something like a paralinx but we haven't found the range so good on these. We've had best results from omni directional spironet type antennas on the TX and RX, hope that helps. Simon. |
