I've only watched the first few seconds (still downloading) but just love the aerial shots.
So share it..pleeease!! How did you achieve those shots, was it R/C helicopter? If so what model is it and how about some pics to show the set up, also what camera did you have fitted to it? Okay, going back to watch the rest of it. Great stuff. |

Thanks guys... we have two helicopter systems, a traditional and a multi-rotor system. This particular wedding was shot with a traditional RC Helicopter. A modified Stretched Logo 600 to be exact. We used a 7D with a Tokina 11-16mm lens. Our pilot is AMAZING! Easily in the top 3 in the world and happens to be sponsored by the company (Mikado) who makes the Logo 600.

Excellent stuff, Andrew. In my neck of the woods the concern would be incoming fire on the helicopter - ha!
The sound was top notch along with everything else. You are a true professional, but be forewarned, I steal ideas from only the very best. Great job! |

Thanks John! I might be the first to incorporate aerial into our wedding films on a regular basis, but I know others will follow suit... and that's all good with me! :)

Nice work. Kyle is not only a great pilot but a very nice young man also. This is an interesting application for RC helicopters that honestly I never really gave much thought to until just now.

Thanks Wendell! Small world, you know Kyle? Well, I guess he has quite the following and is very well known in the RC Helicopter scene. He is a great guy and is doing wonders four our company... we're very lucky to have him on our team!

I am very much one of the "Old Timers" when it comes to RC helicopters. In 2003 I retired from helicopter competition after 25 years to pursue UAV consulting and HD aerial video (and later formed Perfect Perspectives Aerial Imaging). I also co-founded what became the most prominent extreme flight competition in the US and so had the pleasure of inviting Kyle to fly after watching him audition a few years ago. It didn't take much of a veteran to see he was going to do well.
