Dumb question for the pros

or maybe not.

Long story short.

We've been wrangling with a foreign client to clarify delivery specs on a HUGE order of 250+ 30 min shows.

All the shows have been captured w a 625 IMX 50 codec in FCP (PAL).

The client requests that we send them a MPEG2 @ 15mbs w/LONG GOP & (here it is...) a "windows based encode".

I handle the encoding here which is pretty utilitarian stuff...just flash movies and windows media. I do alot of it, but I consider myself a novice.

Is there a difference between the ultimate file on a mac machine or a pc? If I use Cleaner XL to convert, a file is a file right?

Any tips would be appreciated!
