Sorenson Squeeze?
I'm in need of a program to compress the videos i'm doing down to a smallish size of mb. One of the IT guys suggested Sorenson Squeeze - just wondering what anyones professional opinion on this would be?
I use a Mac and Final Cut Express to edit the video's, Quicktime conversion to save it on the computer, but my bosses really want to get smaller video sizes that can easily play on PC's in Windows Media since thats the most common player for most of the office. Thanks.

I tend to think you're talking about compressing to quicktime format, but you didn't specify... Sorenson Squezze is as good as it gets when you need to compress to several different formats. If all you need is QT, you might be better off buying QT Pro, if you need Windows Media, Microsoft provides the best - and free - software, Windows Media Encoder.

Patric, as Ervin says, you maybe better of with QT Pro. But if you also going to compress for windows platform in wmv format the Sorenson Squeeze is a very good tool.
I use the Sorenson Squeeze for compressing file for web, flash and mov. I'm very satisfied with the quality and small file size I got. You can see some sample at my website: http://www.video-film.no/galleri_eng.html (mostly flash and mov).
