Export from Flash to QuickTime: "required QuickTime component not found"
What am I doing wrong? I have a short Flash movie sequence that I would like to export to q QuickTime .mov file (or, for that matter, anything else I can import into Final Cut Pro). When I try to publish to a QuickTime file, the following error message shows up:
An error occurred because a required QuickTime component could not be found. I am running Flash 8 Professional (trial version) and QuickTime Pro 7.1.3. Thanks in advance for your help! - Martin |

Just found a workaround. Apparently, in the latest version of QuickTime, support for Flash is disabled unless explicitly enabled in the system preferences. Once that was done, I could import the .swf file into QuickTime and convert it to a .mov file. I still get the same error message when trying to export to QuickTime directly from Flash.
