Creating Markers for WMV files
I need to create markers for a file being compressed to WMV.
Can someone post a short explanation how to do this on a PC. I'm using a Mac with Flip4Mac plug-in and looking into a way to duplicate the process on Mac. Need to see if this can be done anyway with FCP, QTPro, Squeeze etc. FCP can certainly create markers used in creating QuickTime (mov) files. |

Markers? In what way? Used for what? I don't think WMV supports "markers".

Windows Media supports embedded Web links and chapters. I don't use Final Cut Pro, Flip4Mac, etc., so I'm afraid I don't know if/how such markers could be added with that software. If you have After Effects it can add those types of markers.

I have not tried them, but if you have the Windows Media Encoder installed from Microsoft, Open Windows Media, Utilities, Windows Media File Editor. The File Editor has a section for adding markers.
