do you know software to edit a flv?

Convert to MPEG-2 or MP4 in AVC using a software like Red Kawa and edit as you would another MPEG or MP4 File in the video editor of your choice.

I haven't tried it yet myself, but Adobe CS4 lists direct import and edit support of FLV files.

There is a free app called "Rich FLV" which I've used and it works well. Comparatively rudimentary, but effective. Give it a Google and see how you go.

On Windows, you can use the free SUPER from eRightSoft to turn an .flv (or any other video format) to any other video format. Incredibly handy free tool to keep around....
