Vimeo PLUS
After years of bliss, the time has come for Vimeo to go commercial. HD upload is now limited to once per week for free users. Luckily a rather affordable annual fee of USD60 region is required to go for unlimited uploads, plus the option for HD embedding. Lots more space at 2Gb per week from 500Mb.
HD/HDV/AVCHD users will have to join in the fun soon! I'm already having withdrawal syntoms of being unable to upload. Now wheres the credit card.. Staff Blog / Presenting Vimeo Plus! |

A bit sad to see they are limiting HD-uploads now for non-Plus users, but a bit understandable too.

Their "blurb" states Plus is only available for Americans (at present)....so with you being in Singapore (assuming you're not an American) then you might want to wait until it's more widely available.
Personally, I've decided to use Vimeo much less now their rules over rights of ownership (of any posters material for their own commercial advantage!) is much more widely known/understood as discussed elsewhere on DVinfo. Sure, they have to make money somehow but just be aware before you reach for that credit card.....
