Flash Movie Problems
- Shooting on HVX200 (720p, 23.98fps)
- Edit in FCP 6.0 - Upconvert to 1080p (for color correction) - Compress to .flv through FlixPro (834x469, 400 br) We are getting a myriad of problems on playback, including pixelation, "ghosting", and what looks like interlacing issues (though it is not interlaced). The worst offenders are scenes where there is motion or when it's dark. At first glance, you might assume it was the upconvert or the color correction, and that's what we thought to, but even the raw edit exported to Flash has the same problems. Is it our compression software? (We're going to try Episode Pro.) Is it our size/bit rate? I heard of people having some quality issues with transitions in FCP 6 and going back to 5. Anything there? Something we're not seeing? Thanks in advance. |

Update:
- Tried compressing with Episode Pro (marginally better) - Bumped to 800 br (better, but not at all stellar) - Exported with FCP 5.1 (no difference) So, is it the signal? |
